Tucson Car Crash Kills Pedestrian

Tucson, AZ (May 14, 2018)- According to police, a collision in the southwestern portion of Tucson has resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Officers say they responded to a report of an accident that resulted in serious injuries at about 9am Saturday morning. The victim has been confirmed as Michael Thomas, 31. 

Investigators say that Thomas was within a crosswalk when he was hit by the oncoming car. The driver of the vehicle that struck Thomas remained on the scene until help arrived. Sadly, Michael Thomas was pronounced dead from his injuries upon arrival at the hospital.

Officials did not believe that impairment or excessive speed played a role the accident, so no arrests were issued. However, officials are continuing their investigation.
