I-8 Closed for Several Hours After Dateland Fatal Crash

Dateland, Ariz. (May 7th, 2018) – More known for date palm dates and as a hub for military training, drivers may pass through Dateland, Arizona if they take Interstate 8 to get from Yuma to Phoenix.

However, on May 6th that stretch of road just North of the Mexican border received notice for a different reason. A deadly crash occurred on I-8 at Sentinel Road near Milepost 89. This wreck resulted in eastbound lane closure for several hours.

Authorities said one person was ejected from a vehicle and a second passenger suffered minor injuries from the crash. No additional information was available regarding this Dateland fatal crash.
