Fiery 8-vehicle Wreck on Camelback Road in Phoenix Left 4 Injured

multi-vehicle car wreck in Phoenix intersection

Four people were injured in a fiery eight-vehicle car wreck in Phoenix on Sunday night around 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and Camelback Road. Phoenix police suspect the multi-vehicle car accident was the result of one driver running a red light before colliding with other vehicles as they turned left into the intersection. A chain reaction of wreckage followed.

Impact between the vehicles was such that extrication was needed by the Phoenix Fire Department to retrieve one of the injured people. The injured included two women and two men, one of whom was in extremely critical condition. Accident victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
