Attorney Brian M. Smith is excited and eager to join Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys, bringing with him many years of trial and litigation experience to Lerner and Rowe’s Indiana legal team. Attorney Smith has handled several hundred injury files in litigation, including wrongful death cases, commercial trucking cases, auto accidents, slip and fall, as well as other civil matters. He has helped assist clients through difficult circumstances and guide clients through litigation files resulting in successful jury trial verdicts and amicable resolutions over the last 19 years.
Attorney Smith focuses his practice primarily on civil litigation, inclusive of personal injury, business, estate planning, family law, and other matters. He has effectively handled several cases covered by media outlets such as The Times of Northwest Indiana and The Post-Tribune. Attorney Smith has successfully appealed several matters to the Indiana Appellate Courts. Throughout his years of legal practice, Attorney Smith has gained invaluable experience effectively practicing in many areas of law.
A native of Muncie, Indiana, attorney Brian Smith graduated from Muncie Central High School. He attended Ball State University and graduated in 2001, majoring in political science and obtaining a minor in business. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended law school at Valparaiso University, receiving his Juris Doctor’s degree from Valparaiso University in 2005. While in law school, he participated as a member of the Valparaiso ATLA mock trial team and received academic honors in legal drafting, business law and trial practice.
Attorney Smith is a committed husband and father of four. He is engaged in numerous activities within his community, including serving three terms on the Crown Point School Board of Trustees and acting as the sitting President, serving 13 years as a coach and board member of the Crown Point Jr. Bulldogs, a founding member and coach of the NWI Fury Travel baseball program, and serving as an active member of Cross Point Church located in Crown Point, Indiana. He is a supporter of Mommy’s Haven and other various groups and faith-based missions’ organizations, as well as other local sports programs.
