Yuma, AZ – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Yuma early Tuesday last week, according to Yuma Police.
The deadly crash happened on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at about 5:50 a.m., at 4th Avenue and 8th Street.
According to the police, a 71-year-old man was driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on 8th Street approaching 4th Avenue when he struck a 47-year-old woman who was crossing 8th Street in the crosswalk.
Yuma Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and performed lifesaving measures. Unfortunately, the female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Yuma police said neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
