Volusia County, FL. – A woman died after being struck by a car on Saturday afternoon in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County.
According to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department, the accident happened at 4 Causeway North, in front of the Riverwalk condominiums.
The woman and her husband were walking on the sidewalk when they were hit by a westbound car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
