A 25-year-old Tampa woman spotted a dog along the highway and stopped to render aid
Tampa, FL. – A woman died after being struck by an SUV on Thursday night in Tampa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Dale Mabry Highway north of Idlewild Avenue.
A 25-year-old Tampa woman spotted a dog along the highway and stopped to render aid.
A Toyota RAV4 driven by a 69-year-old man hit the woman and dog, killing them at the scene.
The name of the woman was not immediately disclosed.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
