A 68-year-old Pittsfield woman in Harris’ car and a juvenile passenger of the second car were pronounced dead at the scene

Pittsfield, IL. – A 68-year-old woman and a teenager were injured in a head-on collision on Tuesday, February 11, in Pike County.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened on Illinois 106 just east of 335th Street.
72-year-old Eric Harris of Springfield was trying to pass a vehicle when he collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Harris, the driver and a passenger of the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that was being passed was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
