Hendry County, FL – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision near an intersection in Hendry County on Saturday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A semi-truck-trailer was going westbound on SR 80 when it slammed into the rear of a sedan.
The impact sent the sedan into a car stopped at the intersection.
The woman driving the sedan was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries.
The person driving the stopped car was uninjured in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
