Tucson, AZ – The coroner’s office has identified a motorcyclist killed in a Sunday afternoon crash on South Craycroft Road in Tucson as 23-year-old E’mari Armond Phillips.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the mishap occurred at around 3 p.m. January 12 on South Craycroft Road and East Cooper Street.
A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Ford F-350 was traveling north and trying to turn onto East Cooper Street when he hit Phillips, who was driving south on North Craycroft Road.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
Failure to yield while making a left turn by the driver of the F-350 and speeding by Phillips were the major contributing factors of the collision.
An investigation is underway.
