Martin County, FL – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Martin County on Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident took place at about 2:47 a.m. March 1, on Interstate 95 near mile marker 109.

A 25-year-old Port St. Lucie woman was driving a gray 2022 Toyota Rav4 southbound on northbound I-95 when she collided head-on with an oncoming red 2025 Nissan Altima that was driven by a 39-year-old Daytona Beach man.

A blue 2006 Toyota Tacoma operated by a 57-year-old Port St. Lucie man was traveling north on I-95 and swerved off the left side of the roadway to avoid debris in the roadway slammed into a tree.

The drivers of the Altima and the Tacoma were both killed in the incident.

The third driver was transported to Lawnwood Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
