Thomas Brittenham Killed in Piatt County Motorcycle Accident at County Highway 7 and 600 East Road

Piatt County, IL. – One person was killed in a collision involving two motorcycles in Piatt County on Monday, March 10.

According to the Piatt County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened in the area of County Highway 7 and 600 East Road at around 5:02 p.m.

41-year-old Morgan Brittenham was riding a motorcycle eastbound on County Highway 7 when he rear-ended a motorcycle operated by 64-year-old Thomas Brittenham.

Thomas was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana where he died the following day.

Morgan was also transported to Carle Hospital by Kirby Ambulance Service.

Morgan was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and expired registration.

The Piatt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
