Police said an electric dirt bike and a motorcycle crashed for unknown reasons.
Central Point, OR. – A southern Oregon Juvenile was killed after a traffic collision involving an electric dirt bike on Thursday night in Central Point.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened a while before 9:00 p.m. at the Ross Lane and Old Stage Road intersection.
Police said an electric dirt bike and a motorcycle crashed for unknown reasons.
The Jacksonville Police Department and the Oregon State Police arrived at the scene along with a Mercy Flights ambulance.
The juvenile, riding the electric dirt bike, suffered fatal injuries due to the collision. Their name was not immediately released although the next-of-kin has been notified.
The motorcyclist was cooperative, and no criminal charges have been filed against him.
An Investigation by the Jackson County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is ongoing.
