Rosa Jones and 4 Childred Killed in Miami Gardens Crash

A white Nissan Altima, a black Kia Sorento and a silver Cadillac Escalade were involved in the collision

Miami, FL – The woman who was killed in a traffic collision that also claimed the lives of four children in Miami Gardens on Saturday evening has been identified as Rosa Jones.

Three adults and five kids were traveling in a white Nissan Altima when they were involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of Northwest 170th Street and 37th Avenue at about 5:57 p.m. on February 8.

Authorities said a black Kia Sorrento, operated by 25-year-old Antonio Wilcox Jr, rear-ended the Nissan Altima, which then struck a silver Cadillac Escalade.

Jones and four children were killed in the collision. The children were identified by the family as Kamari Graham, 10, Azariah McCall, 9, Ireanna Johnson, 11, and Kamarya Graham, 13. Jones was the grandmother of the kids killed.

The mother of the kids remains in critical condition. The woman’s partner and a 7-year-old boy were also hospitalized.

Police said Wilcox Jr. was traveling high rate of speed and under the influence leading to the rear-end collision. The suspect will be charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, authorities said.

Miami, FL – A woman and four children were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday evening in Miami Gardens.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the accident happened around 5:57 p.m. in the area of NW 170th Street and 37th Ave.

A white Nissan Altima, a black Kia Sorento, and a silver Cadillac Escalade were involved in the collision.

Three people were trapped in their cars and had to be extricated.

A total of nine people were taken to local hospitals.

Sadly, a woman and four children succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
