Polk County, FL. – A man was killed in a car crash on Saturday morning in Polk County.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on State Road 60, east of Logistics Parkway.
35-year-old Orli Dagoberto Argueta Sanchez of Eagle Lake was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra eastbound on SR-60 when he collided head-on with a 2022 Hyundai Sonata.
Sanchez was found unresponsive in his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Hyundai, 27-year-old Sergio Nino Ramirez of Lake Wales, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
