Albuquerque, N.M. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Tuesday morning in Albuquerque.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the fatal motorcycle accident happened at the intersection of 98th St. and Avalon Rd at around 7 a.m.

A white Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on 98th St. at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light and hit a semi-truck that was attempting to turn from eastbound Avalon to northbound 98th.

The motorcyclist died at the accident scene.
