The FHP officials said a Chevy pickup was heading northbound on US-301 when the Zephyrhills man tried to walk across the highway and entered into the path of the pickup.
Zephyrhills, FL. – An 86-year-old Zephyrhills man killed after a pedestrian collision on Monday evening in Zephyrhills, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on US-301, just north of Pretty Pond Road at around 6:06 p.m. on November 24.
The FHP officials said a Chevy pickup was heading northbound on US-301 when the Zephyrhills man tried to walk across the highway and entered into the path of the pickup. He was hit by the Chevy and was declared dead at the crash site.
The 60-year-old Zephyrhills woman driving the Chevy was not injured in the accident.
An investigation is underway.
