The driver of the Ford was taken to Onvida Health with serious injuries.

Yuma County, AZ. – A 67-year-old Yuma man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Yuma County on Friday morning, according to the deputies.

The collision happened around 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of Laguna Dam Road and County 5 1/2 Street.

A 2007 Dodge Dakota was traveling northbound on Laguna Dam Road while a 2001 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on a dirt road.

The Ford tried a wide turn in front of the Dodge, causing the Dodge to slam into the front passenger side of the Ford.

The Ford driver was trapped and had to be extricated. He was taken to Onvida Health with serious injuries.

Alcohol was not a factor in the collision.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
