The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver was unhurt

Yamhill County, OR. – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident in Yamhill County on Monday evening, according to the Oregon State Police.
The fatal accident happened around 5:11 p.m. October 13, on Highway 240 near milepost 10.
A 66-year-old Newberg man was walking on the roadway when he was struck by a westbound Toyota Rav4.
The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver was unhurt.
The crash caused the highway to be closed for about three hours to facilitate on-scene investigations.
Police are investigating the accident.
