Two children in Ford were taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment

Yakima County, WA. – Three people were killed and four others were injured in a head-on collision in Yakima County on Friday night, according to the WSP.
The fatal collision happened at about 9:45 p.m. on State Route 24, about 15 miles east of Moxee.
WSP said a 2025 Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound when it tried to pass, veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan.
Two occupants in the Ford, a 39-year-old and a 38-year-old, both from Bellingham, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, a 35-year-old from Kelso, and a 13-year-old female passenger were taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt while the 13-year-old was not.
Another female passenger, an 11-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Unsafe passing was a factor in the accident.
WSP is investigating the accident.
