The driver and the 76-year-old passenger of the SUV were both taken to Christ Hospital, where they died
Chicago, IL. – Two people were killed and another was injured in a car crash in the Wrightwood neighborhood of Chicago on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the accident happened in the 2800 block of W. 87th Street near California Avenue at around 3 p.m.
A 21-year-old man was driving a car westbound on 87th Street when he collided with an eastbound SUV, driven by a 73-year-old man.
Police said the SUV had tried to make a left turn to go northbound on California Avenue when the head-on collision happened.
The driver and the 76-year-old passenger of the SUV were both taken to Christ Hospital, where they died.
The driver of the sedan was taken to Christ Hospital for treatment of a leg injury
