Troopers said a 75-year-old woman was driving a Kia Forte northbound on Horizon Drive in Spring Hill when she drove into the path of a Mercedes SUV.
Spring Hill, FL. – A 75-year-old woman was killed after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Spring Hill, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on Spring Hill Drive and Horizon Drive on March 28.
Troopers said a 75-year-old woman was driving a Kia Forte northbound on Horizon Drive in Spring Hill when she drove into the path of a Mercedes SUV. The two drivers crashed and the Mercedes spun to a stop in the eastbound lanes while the Kia spun into the westbound lanes and crashed into a Toyota RAV4.
The Kia driver, the 75-year-old woman, was rushed to an area hospital where she later died.
The Mercedes driver, a 64-year-old Spring Hill man, and the Toyota driver, a 30-year-old Spring Hill woman, sustained minor injuries.
An investigation is underway.
