Ormond Beach, FL. – A 34-year-old woman from Holly Hill was killed after a traffic collision on Sunday morning in Ormond Beach, according to the Ormond Beach Police Department.
The accident happened at about 11:47 a.m. on April 26, at the intersection of South Orchard Street and Cherrywood Drive.
Police said a sports utility vehicle and a sedan were involved in the collision.
The woman, who was the SUV driver, was declared dead at the crash site.
An SUV passenger and the sedan driver were hurt due to the collision. The two were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Orchard Street was closed between Division Avenue and Hammock Lane following the collision.
Police said a fire hydrant was hit during the crash, causing water to flow into the area. Emergency teams controlled the situation and made necessary repairs.
An investigation is underway.
