The deadly accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on July 28 on eastbound US 60 near South Silly Mountain Road near milepost marker 200.

Apache Junction, AZ – A woman was hit and killed by a police vehicle early Monday morning near Apache Junction, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The deadly accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on July 28 on eastbound US 60 near South Silly Mountain Road near milepost marker 200.

DPS said the woman ran into the roadway and was struck by a marked Hayden PD patrol vehicle.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No further details were released.

The DPS is investigating the accident.
