Woman Killed After Vehicle Accident on J.Turner Butler Boulevard in Jacksonville

Troopers said a 41-year-old Jacksonville woman was driving westbound in the middle travel lane when she lost control and veered into the right lane while braking and slammed into the rear of an SUV.

Jacksonville, IL. – A woman was killed after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday night in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred in the area of J Turner Butler Boulevard and Belfort Road a while after 9:30 p.m. on December 6.

Troopers said a 41-year-old Jacksonville woman was driving westbound in the middle travel lane when she lost control and veered into the right lane while braking and slammed into the rear of an SUV.

The 36-year-old woman driving the SUV sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital where she died. Her passenger, a 35-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.

The 41-year-old woman suffered severe injuries due to the crash.

The collision caused the SUV to crash into two other vehicles, but no one inside the other vehicles was hurt.

An investigation is underway.
