Port St. Lucie, FL – A 72-year-old woman was killed and five other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection in Port St. Lucie o. Monday

The deadly crash happened at the intersection of Northwest Glades Cut-Off Road and Northwest Commerce Center Drive on Monday, May 26, at around 1:30 p.m.

Police said a 2011 BMW convertible was traveling southbound on Northwest Glades Cut-Off Road while a 2023 Kia was heading westbound on Northwest Commerce Center Drive.

Port St. Lucie Police said the crash happened after the Kia failed to yield the right of way to the BMW.

The driver of the BMW and his passenger were taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where the passenger – a 72-year-old woman – was pronounced dead.

The driver of the BMW remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Kia and three passengers were also transported to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. Police say the four patients did not sustain serious injuries.
