Woman Killed, 4 Hurt in 2-Car Accident at Flavor Pict Road and Via Valenza in Boynton Beach

Deputies said a 2020 Honda CRV was heading eastbound on Flavor Pict Road when it tried to turn left onto Via Valenza and into the path of an oncoming Toyota Tacoma heading westbound.

Boynton Beach, FL. – A woman was killed and another critically hurt following a traffic crash on Sunday night in Boynton Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred at about 8:15 p.m. on March 8, at Flavor Pict Road and Via Valenza.

Deputies said a 2020 Honda CRV was heading eastbound on Flavor Pict Road when it tried to turn left onto Via Valenza and into the path of an oncoming Toyota Tacoma heading westbound.

The Tacoma’s front hit the Honda’s passengers side causing the Honda to spin before resting in the westbound travel lane.

An 83-year-old woman from Boynton Beach, a left-rear passenger, was declared dead at the crash site at 9:02 p.m. The right-front passenger, a 88-year-old Boynton Beach resident, suffered critical life threatening injuries.

The Honda driver, an 87-year-old woman from Boynton Beach, and an 89-year-old right-rear passenger sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The Tacoma driver, a 61-year-old man from Delray Beach, sustained minor injuries. He was reportedly wearing a seat belt at the time.

All the persons occupying the two vehicles were taken to Delray Medical Center by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The incident remains under investigation.
