Phoenix, AZ. – A woman was killed after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sunday morning in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police.

The accident occurred at around 6:20 a.m. on June 28, near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road.

Troopers said a BMW was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The driver fled the scene, and he hit a woman that was walking in the area. He then slammed into a fence.

The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. 

The BMW driver fled the scene and was later located at his home with severe injuries. He was transported to the hospital and will be booked on hit-and-run and other related charges once he is discharged from the hospital.
