Allen County, IN – A woman was critically injured early Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in Allen County, according to the authorities.
The accident occurred around 4:36 a.m. on August 20 at the intersection of Flaugh Road and West California Road.
Authorities said a woman was driving a Ford SUV southbound on Flaugh Road when she passed another southbound vehicle on a solid yellow line while traveling uphill. Just before she reached the intersection, she collided head-on with a northbound pickup truck driven by a man.
The SUV caught fire, and the Chevrolet driver pulled the woman out of the SUV before it became fully engulfed in flames. She was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.
The man refused medical treatment at the scene.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
