Whitestown, IN. – An Indiana National Guardsman was killed and three others were injured in a crash on Friday afternoon in Whitestown.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on I-65 near mile marker 129.

A white SUV, a military Humvee, and a car hauler truck were involved in the crash.

The guardsmen were heading to Camp Atterbury for drill weekend when the crash occurred.

One guardsman was killed in the crash.

Three other guardsmen were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Three other people involved were treated at the scene and released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
