The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on August 27 at the intersection of South Alvernon Way and East Los Reales Road.

Tucson, AZ – The motorcyclist who was injured last Wednesday in an accident in Tucson’s Southside has died, according to the police.
Wendel John Pfefferkorn, 65, died on September 1.
The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on August 27 at the intersection of South Alvernon Way and East Los Reales Road.
Police said a 70-year-old man was driving a GMC pickup truck westbound on Los Reales Road when he struck Pfefferkorn who was riding a Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Alvernon Way.
Pfefferkorn was taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries where he died on Monday, September 1.
The GMC driver stayed at the scene and was not impaired.
The police are investigating the accident.
