Walla Walla, WA. – Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Walla Walla on Wednesday, according to the Walla Walla Police Department.

The accident occurred at the intersection of North Spokane Street and East Main Street.

The women were crossing within a marked crosswalk during an active walk signal when they were hit by a commercial delivery van that failed to yield while turning at the intersection.

One pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, while the second pedestrian drove herself for medical evaluation.
