Tucson, AZ. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Tucson on Friday evening, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The fatal crash occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on October 10, on 6500 East Tanque Verde Road.
Authorities said a motorcycle operated by a 62-year-old man was speeding east on Tanque Verde Road when it hit a Dodge Ram attempting to make a U-turn on the highway.
The man was killed in the accident.
The 29-year-old driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Motorcycle speed and failure to yield when making the U-turn were determined as the cause of the accident.
Police are investigating the accident.
