Las Vegas, NV. – A state trooper was injured after a DUI driver crashed into a Nevada State Police Highway Patrol cruiser in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
According to police, the accident happened around 11:45 p.m. on Interstate 15 southbound, north of the 215 Southern Beltway.
An officer was investigating a crash when another car struck the trooper’s patrol vehicle and then drove off.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car, Mark Guyot, 51, was later located and arrested on multiple charges, including DUI and felony hit-and-run.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
