Churchill County, NV. – Authorities have disclosed more information about the crash that killed a woman near Toulon in Churchill County early Wednesday morning.

According to the Nevada State Police, the accident happened around 1 a.m. on I-80 westbound at mile marker 88, near the U.S. 95 junction.

A box semi-truck carrying a load of pet food was heading west on I-80 when it hit an SUV that was stopped on one of the lanes.

The impact of the collision sent the truck off the road, where it overturned with its trailer blocking both lanes.

A short time later, a tank semi-truck loaded with milk avoided the SUV but hit the overturned box trailer and also overturned.

The driver of the milk tank semi-truck died at the scene.

The driver of the box truck had to be extricated before being taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The SUV driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
