Las Vegas, NV. – Timothy Edward Muniz, 68, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday, May 2, near Sloan in Las Vegas.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 Freeway near mile marker 28.

Muniz was riding a black Honda VT750 Shadow motorcycle southbound on the freeway when he lost control and crashed into the St. Rose Parkway overpass.

The Honda overturned onto its left side and came to rest facing southwest.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
