The driver of the Kia had to be extricated before being taken to Parkview Regional Medical Centre
Steuben County, IN. – One person was injured in a head-on collision on Friday morning in Jackson Township, Steuben County.
According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 4 a.m. on US 20 near West Otter Lake.
A Kia was travelling east on US 20 when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
The driver of the Kia was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated before being taken to Parkview Regional Medical Centre in critical condition
The 55-year-old semi-truck driver was unhurt.
Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol as a factor.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
