Indianapolis, IN. – An Indiana State Trooper was injured in a collision on Thursday night in Indianapolis.
According to ISP, the accident happened around 11 pm. on Interstate 65.
Trooper Haley Howard was blocking a lane on I-65 to assist a disabled motorist when the patrol car was struck by a suspected drunk driver.
Trooper Howard was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle is under investigation for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
More details about the accident were not released.
