St. Augustine Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on State Road 100 in Putnam County

St. Augustine Man Killed, 3 Injured in Putnam County Crash on State Road 100 near Lakeview Drive

Putnam County, FL. – A St. Augustine man, 22, was killed and three others hurt following a motorcycle accident on Saturday night in Putnam County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 9:05 p.m. June 7 on State Road 100, near Lakeview Drive.

Police said four motorcyclists were riding west on State Road 100. For unknown reasons, one motorcycle operated by a 22-year-old man struck the left side of another rider.

The impact sent the man into the opposing lane and into a head-on collision with an SUV.

The motorcycle hit by the 22-year-old man halted in the grass shoulder of the road.

The man was declared dead at the crash site.

The second rider, a 28-year-old from Keystone Heights, sustained minor injuries in the collision.

A man and a woman in the SUV, all Virginia residents, were hospitalized with severe injuries sustained in the collision.

No additional information regarding this crash was provided.
