Authorities said a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning while using a crosswalk along State Route 161 in South Hill.
South Hill, WA.- A pedestrian was injured following an accident Sunday morning in South Hill.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m. on August 2 on southbound State Route 161 near 176th Street.
Investigators said a 31 year old Spanaway man was turning right from the Fred Meyer parking lot onto State Route 161 when his vehicle struck a 23 year old Graham man.
The pedestrian was transported for treatment of injuries.
Authorities said the pedestrian survived the collision.
Investigators also said drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the accident.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The accident remains under investigation.
