South Bend, IN. – A passenger died in a crash involving a tow truck on Saturday night in South Bend.
According to the South Bend Police Department, the crash occurred in the area of McKinley Avenue and Manchester Drive at around 10:30 p.m.
A vehicle struck a parked and unoccupied tow truck in a parking lot in unclear circumstances.
A passenger sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was later arrested and taken to St. Joseph County Jail.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
