The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene

Sherman County, OR. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Sherman County, according to Oregon State Police.
The fatal accident happened at around 5:35 p.m. on Highway 97 near milepost 43.
A northbound Chevrolet Impala operated by a 66-year-old man from Corvallis crossed into the southbound lanes and rear-ended a southbound International Harvester commercial motor vehicle and trailer driven by a 35-year-old Hanford man.
The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
OSP, alongside the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating the accident.
