Several Injured in Head-On Crash on U.S. 98 at Lilian Bridge in Escambia County

Troopers said an SUV operated by a 31-year-old from Dahlonega, Ga. was heading eastbound and crossed the center line causing a head-on crash into a pickup truck operated by a 17-year-old boy from Elberta, Ala.

Escambia County, FL. – Several people were hospitalized after a head-on collision on Christmas night in Escambia County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 11:36 p.m. on December 25 on U.S. 98 at Lilian Bridge.

Troopers said an SUV operated by a 31-year-old from Dahlonega, Ga. was heading eastbound and crossed the center line causing a head-on crash into a pickup truck operated by a 17-year-old boy from Elberta, Ala.

The collision led to a chain reaction crash also involving three other cars.

Several occupants of different vehicles were transported to area hospitals.

No one has been cited in relation to the accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
