Police said a Chicago Fire Department ladder truck was stopped with its lights on northbound I-57 and was blocking the left and center lanes. A silver Chevrolet did not slow down and crashed into the front ladder truck.

Chicago, IL. – Several people were injured after a traffic collision on Sunday morning on Chicago’s South Side.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. February 23, on northbound I-57 at 99th Street.
Police said a Chicago Fire Department ladder truck was stopped with its lights on northbound I-57 and was blocking the left and center lanes. A silver Chevrolet did not slow down and crashed into the front ladder truck.
Several people sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
All lanes re-opened at about 4:30 a.m.
