The driver of the westbound vehicle was airlifted to Providence Regional Medical Center

Sequim, WA. – A man was killed and two other people were injured in a head-on collision near Sequim on Sunday evening, according to the WSP.
The fatal collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on February 15 on US 101 near milepost 267.
WSP said a vehicle was traveling westbound when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 34-year-old Lynnwood woman, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
A 39-year-old man, also from Lynnwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 39-year-old man from Port Hadlock, was airlifted to Providence Regional Medical Center.
Police say drugs and alcohol were a factor in the accident. The driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.
The collision remains under investigation.
