Deputies said a dark colored Ford Mustang was traveling in the left lane when it shifted into the center lane, its right-side crashing with the front left of a Chevy Trailblazer SUV. Following the collision, the SUV exited the lane and entered the right lane into the direct path of the semi-truck and the two vehicles crashed.

Manatee County, FL. – A semi-truck driver was killed after a semi-truck accident on Monday morning in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 6:28 a.m. on April 20, on southbound I-75 at mile marker 220 near the junction for State Road 64.
Deputies said a dark colored Ford Mustang was traveling in the left lane when it shifted into the center lane, its right-side crashing with the front left of a Chevy Trailblazer SUV. Following the collision, the SUV exited the lane and entered the right lane into the direct path of the semi-truck and the two vehicles crashed.
The SUV was redirected across the southbound lanes of I-75 following the impact. The semi overturned on its right side before stopping partially in the grass median blocking all three southbound lanes of traffic.
The Mustang stopped for a while before fleeing south on I-75.
The semi driver, a 34-year-old man from New Smyrna, Florida, was killed in the crash.
The Trailblazer, a 63-year-old Palmetto man, sustained minor injuries after the collision.
The hit-and-run driver was described as a man in a gray hoodie with stocky build and his car, a black Ford Mustang with rear louvers and possibly a stick camera on the rear.
An investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit is underway.
