Williamsville, IL.- One person was hurt following a semi-truck collision on Saturday morning in Williamsville, according to the Illinois State Police.
The crash occurred a while before 7:30 a.m. on June 27 on Interstate 55 at Exit 109.
Police said a truck tractor semi-trailer hit a concrete barrier for reasons yet to be determined. The semi then burst into flames after the accident.
The semi driver was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Police closed I-55 for several hours to give way to a clearing and a rescue operation.
An investigation is underway.
