Deland, FL.- 37-year-old Sean Heyne was killed following a head-on collision on Thursday morning in Deland, according to the DeLand Police Department.
The accident happened at about 8:53 a.m. at the South Woodland Boulevard and Volusia Avenue intersection.
Police said a van with a male driver as the sole occupant was heading northbound on South Woodland Boulevard while a convertible was heading southbound on the same roadway.
The two drivers entered the junction, and their cars crashed head-on in unclear circumstances.
Heyne, the convertible driver, was declared dead at the crash site.
The van’s driver sustained injuries alleged to be life-threatening and was rushed to the hospital.
No additional information regarding this crash was provided.
