Troopers said the semi-truck was parked improperly on the northbound right lane on US Highway 19 while Langford was traveling north on the highway. Langford was not able to stop in time, and she slammed into the back of the semi-truck’s trailer.

Fanning Springs, FL. – Savannah Langford, 16, of Chiefland has been identified as the teen girl killed after a semi-truck collision last week Monday on Tuesday morning just south of Fanning Springs, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred a while at about 9:00 a.m. on September 2, on US Highway 19 near Northwest 160th Street.
Troopers said the semi-truck was parked improperly on the northbound right lane on US Highway 19 while Langford was traveling north on the highway. Langford was not able to stop her vehicle in time, and she slammed into the back of the semi-truck’s trailer.
She was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The truck driver was not injured.
No additional details were provided.
