The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle late last month on Commercial Street SE in Salem and later died
Salem, OR. – A pedestrian who was injured in a hit-and-run accident last month in Salem has succumbed to his injuries, according to Salem Police.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Commercial Street SE and Ewald Avenue SE at around 10:04 p.m. on November 29.
Preliminary reports indicate two men were crossing Commercial Street SE westbound when one of them, a Salem man, was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 21-year-old Salem man, was transported to Salem Hospital, where he later died.
No arrests or citations have been made.
The Salem Police Traffic Team is leading the investigation.
The accident remains under investigation.
